Crane type letters generally indicate the crane type, characteristics, operation mode, use, etc. Different crane manufacturers may have different naming rules, but generally follow the following principles:

The first letter indicates the type of crane, such as Q for bridge, M for portal, L for beam, C for crawler, Y for metallurgy, T for tower, etc.
The second letter represents the characteristics or use of the crane, such as D for hook, Z for grab, C for electromagnetic, H for hoist, X for suspension.
The third letter (if there is) indicates the operation mode or structural form of the crane, such as E means double dolly (double lifting point), S means two-way (large car and small car can move around), W means outdoor type, etc.
The number generally indicates the rated lifting weight and span of the crane.

For example:
LD type electric single beam crane, L means beam, D means electric, single beam means only one main beam.
LH type electric hoist double beam crane, L means beam, H means hoist, double beam means there are two main beams.
QD type electric double beam bridge crane, Q means bridge, D means hook, double beam means there are two main beams.
QZ type electric grab bridge crane, Q means bridge, Z means grab.
QC type electromagnetic bridge crane, Q means bridge, C means electromagnetic.
QD100/20t-32m-A5-W electric double-beam bridge crane, QD means bridge hook type, 100/20T means the main hook rated lifting weight of 100 tons, vice hook rated lifting weight of 20 tons; 32m means the span is 32 meters; A5 indicates that the job level is A5. W means outdoor type.
LD10t-8.5m-A4-W means electric single beam crane, lifting weight is 10 tons, span 8.5 meters, A4 work level, outdoor site.
